新西兰时间9点钟（中国时间晨时5点），美联储主席耶伦在曼城讲话中表示美国有望在年底前进行加息，美国将适时实行货币收紧政策。美国加息决议将以就业市场的持续好转与全球经济形势逐步缓解为主要依据，近期的全球经济形势不将影响美国的货币政策进程。

耶伦指出，近期美国经济增长的放缓主要由能源价格的下跌与美元强势而导致的进口价格回落而导致，然而这些特定因素具有暂时性，2%的通胀率目标将在未来的几年内实现。美国就业市场得到持续改善，给美国的经济增长带来强有力的信心。她讲到加息会适时性的逐步进行，并以未来的经济数据为依据。FOMC延迟加息可能会导致过度宽松而影响美国经济的稳定性。

耶伦讲话后，欧元、日元迅速回落，截至撰写此文时间，欧元对美元滑落70余点，报于1.1164，美元对日元上涨20余点，报于120.30，纽币、澳币跳空下跌后再度反弹上涨，对美元汇率分别为0.6340，0.7014。美指在昨日下滑后今日高开，截至本文撰写时间，道琼斯指数今日报16286.20点，上涨0.29%；美国标普500报于1936.10，上涨0.34%；纳斯达克指数上涨0.3%，报于4266.74。
